The Employee Assistance Section currently has opportunities for Psychologists and Social Workers to join SAPOL and deliver wellbeing-focused interventions to employees. Who are we?
The Employee Assistance Section provides support services and programs delivered by qualified health professionals. Our services include health and wellbeing programs, individual therapeutic support and referrals, work capacity assessments, wellbeing reviews, recruitment psychometric assessments, and the development and delivery of training across the organisation.
The Employee Assistance Section operates within the People, Culture and Wellbeing Service, which sits within the Health, Safety and Wellbeing Branch. Through strategic leadership and direction, People, Culture and Wellbeing ensures employees are skilled, supported, and equipped to deliver an efficient and effective service to the community.
The Role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work across diverse clinical areas, contribute your professional expertise, and support a multidisciplinary team in delivering wellbeing-focused clinical and preventative care.
The Senior Psychologist or Social Worker is an experienced clinician who applies specialised expertise to deliver discipline-specific assessments, interventions, and consultancy services to SAPOL. You will hold a portfolio of responsibility, contributing to practice quality and the implementation of key initiatives. This role also involves building strong relationships with key stakeholders and providing professional supervision within SAPOL.

The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.
The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.
Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.
Requirements
Psychology - Essential
Hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Psychology or related discipline which gives eligibility for unrestricted registration as a psychologist.
Current and full registration (general) with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Psychology - Desirable
Area of practice endorsement - organisational, forensic and/or clinical psychology (or other relevant specialisation).
Social Work - Essential
Hold an appropriate tertiary qualification in Social Work or related discipline which gives eligibility for practice as a Social Worker.
Eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers
Salary
AHP3 - $112,139 - $120,284 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (12%) + leave loading and applicable allowances.
