Overview
This role is a 6‐month contingent position focused on supporting Clean Energy Infrastructure transactions. Candidates will use advanced financial modeling skills to aid project selldown, due diligence, and post‐acquisition activities.
Responsibilities
Prepare, maintain, and update detailed and complex financial models (including macros) for internal and external purposes, and update vendor financial models when necessary.
Conduct financial analysis and communicate key movements and value drivers, ensuring all inputs are sourced, reasonable, and up‐to‐date.
Generate model outputs such as equity post‐tax IRR (hold‐to‐maturity and full‐cycle), equity valuations, gearing, and run sensitivity analyses on revenues, costs, CAPEX, and other variables.
Support project selldown by running scenarios for potential co‐investors and preparing financial analysis for decision‐making.
Respond to information requests from headquarters and coordinate with advisors during the due‐diligence process.
Review and audit due‐diligence materials, including technical, legal, financial/tax, and insurance reviews.
Manage data rooms (including Q&A;) and oversee transaction workstreams.
Review and comment on key project and transaction documents, such as EPC contracts, O&M; agreements, connection agreements, PPAs, offtake agreements, shareholder agreements, financing documents, and sale‐and‐purchase agreements.
Assist in satisfying conditions precedent for financing and transaction documentation.
Help prepare marketing materials for selling down projects, including information memorandums, teasers, project update slides, and related assets.
Support Investment Committee papers, providing financial analysis and sensitivity sections.
Provide post‐acquisition support to existing investments, liaising with external and internal stakeholders, and supporting asset optimisation and divestment initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
A strong financial toolkit—capable of building detailed models, analyzing financial statements, performing valuations, and experience in development/construction projects.
Experience in Australian renewable‐energy transaction execution, gained at an M&A; advisory firm, bank, private equity fund, infrastructure fund, renewable‐energy developer, or utility, with exposure to equity investment in BESS and/or Solar+BESS assets and wind.
At least 4 years of relevant financial‐modelling experience in Australia.
Fluency in English.
Candidates will undergo a financial‐modelling case study during the selection process.
