The purpose of this position is to drive the growth, competitiveness and profitability of Toyota Material Handling Australia (TMHA) Allied Products portfolio by providing high‐level sales, marketing, product support, and strategic insight to both the Sales Network and Management.
The role ensures strong market performance across Elevating Work Platforms, Scissor Lifts, Industrial Sweepers & Scrubbers, and Taylor‐Dunn Personnel & Burden Carriers through expert guidance on product strategy, inventory management, pricing, product development, training, sales campaigns, and promotional activities.
The role also supports TMHA's objective of expanding its non‐forklift solutions offering within the industrial, warehousing, facilities management, logistics, aviation, manufacturing and commercial sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide high levels of service and support to the Branch Network regarding Allied Products compliance, inventory, pricing, reporting, and pre‐sales assistance.
Maximise volume, market share, profitability and revenue return for TMHA's Allied Products portfolio.
Serve as the primary liaison between TMHA HO Sales and Allied Product suppliers, distributors and manufacturers.
Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure competitive product offerings, pricing, product availability and market responsiveness.
Deliver product information, sales tools and resources that enhance Branch network sales capability.
Manage special product requests, technical specifications, custom configurations and pricing requirements with suppliers to ensure customer suitability and market competitiveness.
Assist with product demonstrations, customer evaluations, presentations and field sales activities.
Analyse market trends, competitive activity and emerging opportunities within the Elevated access equipment market, Industrial floor cleaning market, Personnel, Tow Tractor and burden carrier markets.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts to support purchasing, inventory planning and supplier demand management.
Monitor product performance against forecasts and recommend corrective actions where required.
Lead the end‐to‐end planning and execution of recent Allied Product launches for the Australian market, including pricing strategy, product positioning and CPQ implementation.
Skills & Experience
Proven experience in product management, sales support, or marketing within the construction or industrial equipment industry.
Demonstrated experience supporting sales teams with product information, pricing, inventory guidance, and pre‐sales activities.
Experience developing and delivering product or sales training programs.
Robust analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and convert insights into actionable recommendations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills across multiple business levels.
Strong organisational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Demonstrated capability to deliver technical or product training effectively.
Strong commercial acumen, including understanding pricing, budgeting, and sales metrics.
Tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
Additional training or certification in product management, sales, or market analysis (desirable).
