We identify emerging trends, design commercially successful ranges, source globally, manage quality and compliance, and deliver finished products in high-quality packaging to major retailers and distributors worldwide.We operate across multiple product categories and international markets in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.The RoleWe are looking for a Junior Product Manager to manage multiple product development projects across categories including accessories, cosmetic bags, gifting, body care, pet and household cleaning.This is a hands‐on, mid‐level role suited to someone who is confident managing several projects and critical paths simultaneously.
It is not an entry‐level position, but it will benefit from the support and guidance of experienced Senior Project Managers.The pace is quick, priorities can shift, and projects are often at different stages of development.
The successful candidate will be highly organised, commercially aware and comfortable taking ownership of timelines, coordinating stakeholders and keeping projects moving.Key ResponsibilitiesProduct Development and Range ManagementCoordinate assigned product ranges from initial brief through sampling, approval and handover to production.Build, maintain and actively manage detailed critical paths across multiple concurrent projects.Drive projects forward by following up on actions, resolving issues and ensuring deadlines are met.Manage product specifications, materials, components, packaging formats and cost targets.Ensure ranges are cohesive, commercially relevant, scalable and appropriate for their intended markets.Maintain accurate project documentation, approvals and product information.Costing,
Timelines and FeasibilityManage target costings and margin expectations throughout the development process.Work with internal teams and suppliers to identify commercially viable product and packaging solutions.Monitor project milestones closely and communicate any risks, delays or cost pressures early.Balance commercial, creative, quality and operational requirements when making project decisions.Cross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with Creative to ensure concepts and designs are technically achievable and suitable for production at scale.Partner with Operations and Senior Project Managers on supplier selection, development requirements and production readiness.Liaise with Quality and external compliance partners to ensure products meet applicable regulatory and customer requirements.Provide Sales and Marketing teams with accurate product information, costings, samples and launch timelines.Work closely with the Founder, providing clear project updates and ensuring priorities are understood and actioned.Communicate confidently across creative, commercial and operational teams to keep stakeholders aligned.Supplier and Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary day‐to‐day product contact for suppliers during development.Manage sampling, revisions, feedback, approvals and follow‐up actions.Set clear expectations with suppliers and hold them accountable to agreed timelines and deliverables.Maintain consistent and accurate communication across internal teams, suppliers and external partners.Skills and ExperienceApproximately 3–5 years' experience in product development, NPD, project coordination or a similar role within beauty, skincare,
FMCG or consumer products.Demonstrated experience managing multiple product development projects and critical paths simultaneously.Experience working with offshore manufacturers, ideally across Asia and/or Europe.Solid understanding of product costings, margins, lead times and production constraints.Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‐paced, deadline‐driven environment.Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.Confident and clear communicator who can coordinate creative, commercial, operational and technical stakeholders.Comfortable taking ownership, following up assertively and keeping projects moving.Strong working knowledge of Excel and project management or critical‐path tools.Highly RegardedExperience working across multiple FMCG or consumer‐product categories.Exposure to major retailers, distributors or private‐label product development.Familiarity with packaging development, product compliance and quality‐assurance processes.Personal AttributesConfident, capable and comfortable taking ownership of assigned projects.Highly organised and able to maintain control of multiple moving priorities.Calm under pressure and solutions‐focused when timelines or requirements change.Proactive in identifying risks and resolving issues before they affect delivery.Commercially minded, with sound judgement and robust problem‐solving skills.A strong communicator who is comfortable working closely with the Founder and senior stakeholders.Resilient, adaptable and comfortable operating in a fast‐growing entrepreneurial business.Why Join Jamesly?
