The Role: Defining Performance

As a Senior or Lead 3D Animator at Alt.vfx, you will be a key player in our pipeline. You will be responsible for bringing our characters and creatures to life with precision and artistic flair. This is an environment where detail is paramount; you will be tasked with translating complex creative briefs into high-end animation that sets the standard for the industry.

- Diverse Animation Work:



Your daily tasks will span the full spectrum of high-end VFX animation, ranging from intricate keyframe performance to the cleanup and enhancement of MoCap data. You will be responsible for the “performance” of our digital assets.

- Shot Excellence: As a Lead or Senior artist, your work goes beyond just animation; you will collaborate closely with department heads and VFX supervisors to ensure that every shot meets the demanding technical and artistic standards of the project.

- Pipeline Autonomy: We value independence. You will be expected to manage your own shot quotas efficiently while maintaining a high level of consistency across long-form projects. You will act as a guardian of quality, ensuring that your work integrates flawlessly with our lighting and compositing departments.

Who You Are

We are looking for professionals who have “been there, done that” and are looking for their next significant challenge. You bring a wealth of experience, a refined eye for motion, and the ability to maintain composure when deadlines loom.

- Experienced Animator: You possess a minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in character and creature animation specifically for the VFX or high-end episodic industry.

- Software Expert: You are an expert in Autodesk Maya . Your technical proficiency allows you to solve complex rigging or motion problems without needing to slow down your workflow.

- A Master of Motion:



You demonstrate a deep understanding of body mechanics, weight, and movement physics. Your facial animation is nuanced, and you possess a strong sense of cinematography and camera animation.

- The Professional Edge: You are a dedicated team player. You remain calm and collected under pressure, you are highly organized, and you understand the importance of clear, proactive communication in a collaborative studio environment.

- Bonus Qualifications: If you have extensive experience in Previs or MoCap cleanup and integration , you will stand out as a top-tier candidate for our team.
