As Contour Education grows, we are hiring a dedicated Year 7-10 Science Curriculum Lead to own the source of truth for your discipline - mastering the science year 7 to 10 syllabus , school assessment patterns, and topics tests to ensure all Contour resources are built flawlessly.

This is a high-impact position acting as the strategic director and quality gate for Year 7-10 Science. Rather than writing every question yourself, you will direct content production and define curriculum benchmarks, building a compounding body of knowledge that defines how thousands of students learn from the ground up.

This flexible, full time role (38 hours per week) gives you complete strategic ownership over your subject area. You will take a blank page and turn guidelines into a premium, subject-specific program, ensuring Contour's educational offering is market-leading and built to scale.

What You Will Do

/n

As our Year 7-10 Science Curriculum Lead, you will own the educational source of truth for this specific subject area and strategically direct everything built from it.

/n

/n

- Map - Build and maintain the curriculum source of truth for your subject, mapping out the syllabuses, recurring school assessments and test question types.

/n

- Pace - Translate curriculum insights into live topic sequencing, question-type maps, and school-specific workshops kept 1-2 weeks ahead of local classrooms.

/n

- Support - Design the targeted materials and support systems students need to conquer internal assessments, optimise their school results and build foundational mastery ahead of Years 11–12.

/n

- Direct - Plan educational resources upstream from the source of truth, steering Resource Developers to oversee the production of roughly 100 workbooks annually.

/n

- Govern - Act as the final quality gate to sign off on all subject materials with absolute polish, while continuously pushing curriculum innovation.

What You Will Bring

- Strong academic achievement and results , ideally with a background or degree in science .

/n

- ATAR results are ideal but not compulsory.

/n

- Deep curriculum expertise and strong opinions on how the subject is sequenced, taught, and examined.

/n

- Excellent documentation skills with a focus on building durable, written educational frameworks.

/n

- Ability to brief, steer, and manage Resource Developers effectively without creating operational bottlenecks.

/n

- Uncompromising attention to detail with an obsession for error-free work and polished formatting.

/n

- High operational bandwidth to hit tight production deadlines and patch issues proactively.

/n

- Comfort using software and AI tooling to accelerate documentation and drafting workflows (preferred).

The pay range for this role is:

110,000 - 120,000 AUD per year (Melbourne CBD)
