About the Role
/n
This role is part of the Family Wellbeing Services (FWS) program, which provides a coordinated and culturally safe support system for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families experiencing vulnerability. The position involves holistic case management and collaboration with multiple service providers to build family capacity, strengthen community connections, and safeguard the wellbeing of children.

Duties
/n
/n
- Effectively engage clients through cold‐call home‐based visits, turning initial service offerings into consent by delivering motivational interviewing and positive reinforcement practice interventions.
/n
- Be upfront in explaining client rights, worker responsibilities, mandatory reporting requirements, and complaints processes.
/n
- Deliver immediate safety assessment and safety responses, documented and approved by line‐manager, in instances of domestic and family violence, self‐harm/mental health, and child abuse.

- Facilitate ATSICHS 'Narrative Assessment Tools' completed in full by client,
ensuring the voices of clients are embedded in their assessment; facilitate conversations and introspection on all assessment domains.

- Facilitate FLDM meetings with broader family kin, gaining family consensus on their challenges and path forward.
/n
- Deliver case‐managed services according to the program model of care, ensuring minimum caseload requirements are maintained to ensure equitable access to services for the community.
/n
- Maintain accurate and detailed case notes of all client interactions, ensuring case notes are written from the perspective of clients in their voice.
/n
- Complete ORS (client‐led brief wellbeing rating tool) upon each occasion of direct face‐to‐face support provided to client.

- Starting annual salary of $102,595 (depending on qualifications and experience).

Required Qualifications and Experience
/n
/n
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant social services field with at least 4 years case‐management experience in family support, child protection, youth support, housing or related field.
/n
- Diploma in a relevant Community Services field with at least 6 years in a case‐management role in family support, child protection,
youth support, housing, or related field.
/n
- At least 6 years case‐management experience in family support, child protection, youth, housing or related field. A commitment to complete a Diploma (funded by ATSICHS) while working, and identification as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander (with confirmation proof) or non‐indigenous with work experience for an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation for the last 4 years.

Desired Skills and Experience

- Exceptional case‐management skills, including grammatical writing ability, personal organisation and time management, and execution of services according to the model of care phases of work.
/n
- Demonstrated ability to create new social work theoretical frameworks of practice, aligned with ATSICHS values. Ability to coach other staff on client interventions that build client motivation, insight and acceptance, self‐awareness, decision making (agency), and sustainable behaviour change.
/n
- Ability to critique and problem‐solve legislative grey zones, while managing organisational and child/client harm risks.
/n
- Influence decisions of external stakeholders, including Child Safety, Youth Justice, Schools, and Hospitals.
/n
- Ability to coordinate multiple internal ATSICHS programs and services to activate wrap‐around care for clients, trading‐off and negotiating resources across the organisation and with other teams to achieve client impact.

Additional Requirements

- Requirement to travel across the Logan and/or Brisbane region, as per program location.
/n
- Current driver's licence.
/n
- Valid police check.
/n
- Working with Children's Card (Blue Card) or be eligible to apply.
