The Opportunity

Reporting to the Electrical Team Leader, you will provide technical support to ensure equipment availability and reliability. This will include fault-finding, proactive and planned maintenance, and the implementation of machine improvements for all drive, PLC and field device plant equipment.

This is primarily a day shift role with occasional support required for afternoon shifts. You will be part of a supportive, single-site based team where safety and delivering on our promise to customers is paramount.

Key responsibilities

Our ideal candidate would have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

- Strong safety focus & demonstrated knowledge of WHS regulations

- Excellent communication & interpersonal skills

- Qualified Supervisor Certificate (Electrical)

- Advanced Diploma (or Degree in Electrical Engineering)

- Manage and execute electrical projects onsite

- Execute preventative and breakdown maintenance to maximise equipment uptime and reliability

- Diagnose and resolve electrical,



instrumentation and control faults efficiently

- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to optimise plant performance

- Contribute to continuous improvement and root cause analysis initiatives

- Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and site requirements

- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation

- Siemens PLC and HMI knowledge advantageous

- Proven experience in PLC and AC/DC drive systems (Siemens, ABB, Control Techniques)

- Experience & knowledge of functional safety integration with PLC & drive systems

- Experience in Electrical drafting software (Eplan, Autodesk)

- TUV functional safety certification

- Superior fault-finding & troubleshooting skills across industrial electrical & control systems (AC & DC drive diagnostic experience)

- High degree of accuracy & attention to detail

- Experience in industrial, mining or manufacturing environments

- The ability to work both independently & as part of a team

- Forklift and EWP licensing advantageous

- Knowledge in SAP advantageous

- High Voltage training advantageous

- Knowledge of Profibus and Profinet communications advantageous

- AC & DC drive programming and diagnostic experience
