Ranger Lifting Rigging Safety is a leading specialist in lifting, rigging and height‐safety solutions, supporting customers across construction, manufacturing, transport, infrastructure and utilities.We are seeking a hands‐on Technical Services Fitter to join our Inspection & Technical Services Workshop in Prestons.About the roleReporting to the Technical Services Manager, you will work across installation, workshop production and technical inspections of lifting, rigging and height‐safety equipment.
This is a wide-ranging, practical role suited to a trade‐qualified fitter who enjoys both workshop work and customer sites.Key responsibilitiesPerform in‐house and on‐site inspections of lifting, rigging and height‐safety equipmentCarry out installation of manufactured systems and associated components on customer sitesFit and assemble fabricated metal parts into products, machines and equipmentSet up and operate production machines (including pressing and cutting) as requiredRead and interpret drawings and specifications to determine materials, methods and sequence of workCheck components and assemblies for accuracy, clearance and fit using precision measuring instrumentsConduct testing in line with NATA/LEEA and relevant standards, maintaining accurate registers and recordsAssist with booking,



receipting and scheduling of inspection and workshop jobsProvide technical support and product advice to Ranger customersWork safely at all times and comply with company policies, procedures and WHS requirementsAbout youTrade qualification – Fitter / Mechanical / related trade (Certificate III or IV)Experience in lifting, rigging, height‐safety or a closely related mechanical environmentStrong practical fitting, assembly and fault‐finding skillsAbility to read and interpret drawings and technical specificationsComfortable working both in the workshop and on customer sitesSound computer skills for basic data entry and reportingCurrent NSW driver's licenceStrong attention to detail, with a "can‐do" attitude and commitment to safety and qualityExcellent communication skills and a customer‐focused approachLEEA or other industry‐related training will be highly regarded but is not essential.What we offerFull‐time, stable position with a growing specialist businessVariety of work across installation, production and inspectionTraining and development opportunities, including industry certificationsSupportive team workplace with a solid safety and quality culture
