Role overview

/n

Reporting into the Director of GTDocs and GTDocs Managers, the GTDocs Lawyer will undertake legal document review work and associated legal work at the highest quality, quality assurance, assist other document reviewers and support senior lawyers and managers in the management of document reviews.

/n

Undertake high‐quality legal document review (including quality assurance and second round review/2RR for relevance and privilege) and associated legal tasks such as chronologies, preparation of statements and submissions in a high‐pressure, detail‐oriented and fast‐paced environment.

Assist in managing the document review process by answering queries, ensuring document review processes are being followed, monitoring progress of the review, escalating queries and implementing solutions where appropriate.

Participate in matter debriefings and review meetings, document learnings and incorporate points for future improvement into future matters.

/n

Document review using Relativity or NUIX.

The position is a casual contract to commence immediately until the end of August, based in Melbourne or Sydney.

About you

/n

You will be a legal professional with experience in Disputes or Competition and Regulatory teams looking to take that next step leading a team on large document reviews. In addition you will be/have:

/n

/n

- Bachelor of Laws

/n

- Experience working in legal document review or similar environments, or an early‐career lawyer seeking a new direction who has undertaken second round review/2RR to finalise documents for production for both relevance and privilege

/n

- Document review using a review platform like NUIX, Relativity etc

/n

- Strong grasp of legal principles and attention to detail

/n

- Careful and considered approach to reviewing documents, with a focus on quality and improvement

/n

- Taking an active mentorship role by demonstrating proactive problem‐solving and support for others

/n

- Collaborative, team‐oriented mindset with a willingness to receive and provide constructive feedback and being accountable and communicative around your deliverables
