Job Description: Trade Desk Sales & Warehouse Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Desk Sales & Warehouse Support person to join our team at Designer Tile Company in Springvale. This is a hands-on, dual-role position combining warehouse operations, trade desk counter sales, showroom sales support, and merchandising responsibilities. The successful candidate will be a key contributor to smooth daily operations, customer service excellence, and overall warehouse presentation.

- Location: Springvale, Victoria
- Work Schedule: 5-day week (including Saturday 9am - 3pm)
- Roster: RDO (Rostered Day Off) on Fridays
- Parking: On-site parking available

Key Responsibilities

- Serve trade customers at the counter in a professional and efficient manner
- Process sales orders accurately using warehouse/point-of-sale systems
- Provide product information, availability updates, and general assistance
- Support trade account holders with order changes and enquiries
- Assist showroom and clearance centre staff during busy periods
- Support overflow retail sales, helping customers select suitable products
- Maintain a clean, presentable, and organised showroom environment
- Assist with merchandising and tile display setups to ensure strong product presentation

Warehouse Operations & Stock Management

- Receive, unload, and safely store incoming tile stock
- Pick, pack,



and prepare customer orders for dispatch and collection
- Maintain accurate stock locations and inventory control at all times
- Ensure all pallets are safely stacked, wrapped, and stored in compliance with safety standards
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies or damages immediately
- Assist with stock unloading from trucks and stock consolidation in warehouse
- Tidy, replenish, and rotate warehouse stock to maintain an organised and efficient workspace
- Assist with ordering and replenishment of warehouse stock as required
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse at all times

Skills & Experience Required

- Current forklift licence (essential)
- Previous warehouse, trade sales, or retail experience (tile/building industry preferred)
- Robust communication skills (in person and over the phone)
- Well-presented and customer-focused
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and accuracy
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when required
