ASX is seeking an experienced Calypso developer to join our Technology and Delivery division. The role involves designing, building, and operating scalable, resilient platforms that support critical market infrastructure.

Responsibilities

- Develop and customize Calypso modules (workflows, trade processing, interfaces, reporting)
- Provide BAU support, including issue investigation, root cause analysis, and defect resolution
- Implement enhancements and configuration changes aligned to business requirements
- Build and maintain integrations with upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data, clearing, reporting systems)
- Participate in release cycles (build, deployment, regression, UAT support)
- Collaborate with QA to support test automation and validation of trade flows
- Optimize system performance and ensure high availability of Calypso services
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline integration and deployment automation (GitLab, Ansible, etc.)
- Document technical designs, configurations, and fixes

Qualifications

- 8–10+ years of experience on Calypso implementations/upgrades
- Robust core Java development skills (collections, multithreading, JDBC)
- Hands‑on experience with the Calypso platform (APIs, workflows,



engines, messaging)
- Strong understanding of capital markets (trade lifecycle, derivatives, FX, fixed income)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle or SQL Server)
- Working knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and scripting
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Ansible
- Experience with Kafka or other messaging frameworks
- Expertise in system integration and complex Calypso customizations
- Knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change)
- Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery models
- Nice to have: Experience with MarkitWire, clearing workflows, collateral management
- Nice to have: Experience with Calypso version upgrades
- Nice to have: Exposure to automation frameworks/QA integration
