About the Role
As our Medical Receptionist, you’ll be the welcoming face and voice of the practice. You’ll play a key role in ensuring patients receive exceptional service while helping our doctors and clinical team deliver quality healthcare.
Your day may include:
- Welcoming patients and creating a positive first impression
- Managing appointments,
phone enquiries and patient communications
- Registering patients and maintaining accurate medical records
- Processing Medicare, billing and payments
- Scanning, filing and general administrative duties
- Maintaining strict patient confidentiality
- Assisting with the smooth day‑to‑day operation of the practice
- Working closely with doctors, nurses and fellow reception staff as part of a collaborative team
About You
You’ll be someone who genuinely enjoys helping people and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
You’ll have:
- Experience in a medical reception
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- The ability to remain calm, compassionate and professional in a fast‑paced environment
- Confidence using computer systems (experience with medical software is essential)
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain
