Job Description

We're looking for reliable, caring and hardworking Housekeepers to join our team on a casual basis, with the potential to move into permanent employment for the right candidate and team fit.

Imagine heading to work in beautiful Scarborough, enjoying the coastal surroundings and being part of a community where your work genuinely matters.

While you're behind the scenes, the impact you make is right at the heart of what we do.

What you'll be doing

You'll play an important role in creating a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment across our community.

Your day could include:

- Cleaning resident rooms and communal areas
- Vacuuming, mopping, dusting and sanitising
- Maintaining bathrooms, offices, kitchens and shared spaces
- Supporting our in-house laundry, including sorting, washing and distribution
- Removing rubbish and replenishing supplies
- Following infection prevention and control practices
- Using cleaning products, equipment and PPE safely
- Responding respectfully to resident and staff requests
- Identifying and reporting maintenance, safety or other concerns

Desired Skills and Experience

What we're looking for

You don't need to have worked in aged care before. We're looking for people who are:

- Reliable, hardworking and take pride in their work
- Experienced in cleaning, housekeeping or a similar environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Organised and able to manage their time effectively
- Friendly, respectful and customer-focused
- Comfortable with the physical demands of a hands-on role

Experience in aged care, healthcare or hospitality is highly regarded, as is an understanding of infection control.
