Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking a dedicated Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine to join our team at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital!

The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Respiratory Medicine, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Respiratory Department and Hospital as required.
The Staff Specialist in Respiratory Medicine will provide comprehensive interventional bronchoscopy services, including patient assessment and procedural care, along with outpatient follow ‑up of patients undergoing bronchoscopic interventions.

The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development.

The successful applicant will be a current medical practitioner, registered or eligible for specialist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) with recognised specialist qualifications in Respiratory Medicine and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award.
The position is currently available. In addition, applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from date of application, may be considered.

Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
