About the role
Glass Co Metro (GCM) is looking for an experienced Site Supervisor to lead our installation teams across residential construction projects throughout the Perth metropolitan area.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll oversee the day-to-day coordination of site fitters and contractors, ensuring every installation is completed safely, efficiently and to the high-quality standards our builders have come to expect.
You'll be the key on-site contact for problem solving, supporting your team, managing builder relationships and driving successful project outcomes. Working closely with our Project Coordinators, Factory Production and Service teams, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional customer service while helping achieve our Delivery In Full On Time (DIFOT), quality and continuous improvement objectives.
What you'll be doing
- Lead, coach and support a team of site fitters and contractors across multiple residential construction sites.
- Coordinate daily installation activities to ensure work is completed safely, on time and to company quality standards.
- Monitor installation progress and proactively manage incomplete works, delays and site issues.
- Act as the primary point of contact for on-site problem solving and escalation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with builder supervisors, construction managers and customers.
- Coordinate labour coverage for planned and unplanned absences to keep projects on schedule.
- Support service and rectification works through effective scheduling and site coordination.
- Promote and enforce safe work practices, ensuring compliance with WHS requirements.
- Monitor workmanship and address quality, safety and performance issues as required.
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance reviews with direct reports.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, reduce rework and improve operational performance.
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a Site Supervisor, Leading Hand or similar leadership role.
- Experience within the glazing, glass processing or residential construction industry is highly regarded.
- Relevant trade qualification (Glazing preferred but not essential).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach and develop teams.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Proven ability to solve problems and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Current C Class Driver's Licence.
- White Card (essential).
- Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office (experience with SimPro or Pivot Point Pro is advantageous).
