About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Echocardiologist to join Northern Health's Cardiology Unit. In this consultant role, you will provide expert echocardiography and specialist cardiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centred care. You will also contribute to teaching, research, quality improvement and the ongoing development of our expanding cardiac imaging service. Current opportunities available to work in a casual capacity within the department.

Qualifications

- A primary medical qualification (MBBS or equivalent), FRACP in Cardiology (or equivalent), and eligibility for specialist registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated expertise in echocardiography, including TTE, TOE and stress echocardiography.




- Commitment to delivering high‑quality, patient‑centred cardiovascular care.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- A commitment to teaching, clinical governance, quality improvement and ongoing professional development.
