Position Summary

Financial Accountant – 9‑12 month fixed‑term contract (maternity leave). Join a well‑established not‑for‑profit organisation’s finance team of around 12 professionals. Your role will ensure accurate month‑end reporting, reconciliations and financial analysis across the business.

Compensation

Up to $110,000 plus super. Salary packaging up to $18,550 (NFP). Additional $2,650 for meal & entertainment benefits.

Responsibilities

- Managing end‑of‑month (EOM) reporting activities.
- Performing complex balance sheet and general ledger reconciliations.
- Reconciling large volumes of financial data with a high level of accuracy.
- Investigating and clearly explaining financial variances.
- Preparing monthly financial reports and assisting with budgeting and forecasting.
- Supporting audits and statutory reporting requirements.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
- Working closely with operational stakeholders across the organisation.

About You

- Proven experience as an experienced and qualified Financial Accountant.




- Strong end‑of‑month reporting experience.
- Excellent reconciliation skills, particularly across high‑volume financial data.
- The ability to analyse financial information and communicate findings clearly to finance and non‑finance stakeholders.
- Robust Excel skills and experience using ERP systems.
- CPA or CA qualified (or working towards) is highly regarded.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX is advantageous.
- Previous experience within the not‑for‑profit sector will be viewed favourably.
