Salary range: between $100,000 to $120,000 (incl. super)

The Role

Due to growth of our Brisbane Toxic Torts team, a rare and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Junior Lawyer (1-3 years’ PQE) to support a highly regarded Partner, Mark Victorsen. In this role you will be working on a range matters involving dust diseases litigation for a number of our national and international clients.

Your key responsibilities will include:

- Manage a varied caseload of dust disease claims under supervision
- Forensic, factual and liability research, evidentiary and liability analyses, drafting of pleadings and strategic advice
- Assess exposure histories and interrogate causation issues using expert evidence
- Prepare briefs to counsel and liaise with experts




- Assist with mediations, contribution, negotiations, multi‑party litigation strategy and Court appearances.

Who We Are Looking For

The successful candidate will have the following:

- Between 1-3 years’ PQE in insurance litigation, personal injury defence or commercial disputes
- Strong analytical skills and confidence working with technical medical evidence
- Excellent drafting and attention to detail
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal and insurer objectives
- Professionalism and maturity when dealing with sensitive claimant circumstances
