with both services managed under the same Nurse Unit Manager (NUM). Staff may be required to work across both campuses at times to support service delivery, operational flexibility, and the continued development and growth of Day Medical Unit services. Across both campuses, approximately 1,100 infusions and procedures are completed each month, with both units experiencing ongoing growth in demand and service activity.The GCUH DMU provides specialised care to patients requiring management of both chronic and acute non-chemotherapy treatments, working collaboratively with outpatient services and inpatient care areas to ensure continuity and coordination of care. Patient cohorts include, but are not limited to, renal, neurology, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), maternity, and infectious diseases.
