About The Opportunity If you’re an experienced Plant or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking for a field role that gives you real autonomy, strong earnings, and lifestyle flexibility — this is one of the most sought-after roles in the region. As a Field Service Plant Mechanic, you’ll be on the front line supporting our customers—responding to breakdowns, performing diagnostics, and delivering high-quality repairs on Caterpillar equipment in the field.

DIDO Option available $64.77 – $69.40/hr + overtime + ute
Typical earnings: $140K – $170K+ depending on roster and OT
Rates are reflective of experience, skills and technical capability. What You’ll Do Diagnose, service and repair CAT mobile plant equipment in the field.
Deliver safe, high‑quality work with minimal downtime for customers.
Work independently across multiple customer sites.
Represent WesTrac with robust technical capability and customer service. What You’ll Bring Cert III Mobile Plant Technology (or equivalent trade).
Experience with mining or heavy earthmoving equipment (CAT highly regarded).
