- Deliver expert advice and assistance to stakeholders and contractors on environmental management, compliance, planning and assessment requirements for TfNSW activities focusing on biodiversity to meet government environmental outcomes and community expectations.
- Support statewide projects across roads, rail and maritime to achieve biodiversity outcomes by reviewing complex technical documentation and translating legal requirements.
- Provide advice and assist in implementation of practical strategies, guidelines, policies and procedures to support management and resolution of biodiversity matters.
- Work collaboratively within a close-knit, environmentally motivated team using best practice frameworks.
Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of industry experience.
- Tertiary qualification in Science, Environmental Management or similarly related fields.
- Accreditation under the NSW Biodiversity Offset Scheme would be highly valued.
- Familiarity with current biodiversity assessment methodologies, survey guidelines and extensive experience in biodiversity assessment and management.
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management.
Hybrid working with 50% working from home and the office.
