We are looking for an ambitious Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Director, this role offers excellent exposure to end-to-end finance operations, financial reporting, commercial analysis, statutory compliance and business improvement initiatives.

Key Role Responsibilities

- Oversee Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, strong internal controls, and resolution of complex queries.
- Prepare month-end journals, reconciliations, and financial reporting outputs, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger and compliance with group reporting deadlines.
- Produce management reports, budgets, forecasts, variance analyses, and performance insights to support business decision-making.
- Monitor revenue, costs, margins and overall financial performance across business units.
- Support compliance with internal controls, policies, and financial governance frameworks.
- Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and cost‑saving initiatives within the finance function.
- Contribute to ERP implementation and finance systems projects, providing input into process design and optimisation.
- Assist with statutory reporting, external audits, and taxation requirements, including GST, BAS, FBT,



and payroll tax obligations.
- Participate in cross‑functional business projects and provide broader support to the finance team and senior management as needed.

About You

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
- CA or CPA qualified (or working towards completion).
- 3–5 years of experience in audit, business services, or financial accounting, ideally seeking a first move into a commercial environment.
- Strong technical accounting, reporting, and reconciliation skills.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel and Office 365 skills, with experience using ERP systems.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem‑solving and process improvement.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across the business.
- Customer‑focused mindset with a commitment to delivering high‑quality service to internal and external stakeholders.
