Sales Representative, Sydney and Melbourne

HTC Foods is a Brisbane based importer and distributor of Asian food products, supplying independent grocery, supermarket, and foodservice customers across Australia. Our range spans roughly 1000+ lines across eight categories, including seafood, fish, poultry and meats, fruit and vegetables, hotpot, appetisers, dried goods, and drinks and desserts, across ambient, chilled, and frozen.

We are building our field presence in New South Wales and Victoria are appointing a sales representative in each state, based in Sydney and Melbourne respectively.

What you will be doing

- Managing and growing an existing customer base of independent Asian grocers, supermarkets, and foodservice accounts
- Opening current accounts across the territory
- Presenting new products and running in store activity
- Negotiating pricing and promotions within agreed parameters
- Keeping across competitor pricing and range, and feeding that back to head office
- Working with our Brisbane team on orders, deliveries,



and stock availability

What you will bring

- A couple of years or more in field sales, ideally FMCG, food wholesale, or foodservice
- Fluency in English plus Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese. A large part of the customer base transacts in these languages, so this is highly desirable for the role
- A track record of opening new accounts, not just servicing what already exists
- Comfort working autonomously with a head office based interstate
- Current driver's licence

Existing relationships in the Asian grocery or foodservice channel in your city will move your application to the top of the pile, as will experience selling frozen or chilled product.
