Northern Midlands Council is seeking applications from suitably experienced and reliable applicants for the role of Caretaker - Ross Caravan Park. This casual position is based at Ross Caravan Park and is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for visitors while supporting the day-to-day operation of the facility.

About the role
Reporting to the Works Supervisor, this role combines caretaking, commercial cleaning, customer service, grounds maintenance and minor maintenance responsibilities. The successful applicant will play a key role in ensuring Ross Caravan Park and its visitor facilities are maintained to a high standard at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Cleaning and servicing the five onsite cabins between guest stays, including linen changes, bed making and cleaning of bathrooms and kitchenettes.
- Cleaning public amenities, camp kitchen, BBQ areas and communal facilities.
- Maintaining cabins and facilities to a guest-ready standard.
- Undertaking routine grounds maintenance including mowing, whipper snipping and litter collection.
- Monitoring the caravan park and responding to visitor enquiries.
- Supporting guest check-in and check-out processes where required.
- Undertaking minor maintenance and reporting larger maintenance issues.
- Managing waste and recycling facilities.
- Ensuring Council facilities are maintained in a clean, safe and welcoming condition.
- Promoting a positive and professional image of Council when interacting with visitors and members of the public.
About you
You will be a self-motivated and reliable individual who takes pride in presenting facilities to a high standard and enjoys working independently.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Have experience in caretaking, commercial cleaning, housekeeping, hospitality, accommodation services, maintenance or similar roles.
- Have excellent attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness and presentation.
- Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills.
- Be capable of identifying problems and taking appropriate action.
- Be physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks.
- Have experience undertaking minor maintenance and grounds maintenance activities.
- Hold a current driver's licence.
