We are looking for licensed security guards to join our NQPS Security Team in Townsville!
As one of the largest security providers in FNQ we are excited to grow our values driven, dependable security services within the Townsville region.

We have roles available for an immediate start, and are building our team across patrols, cash-in-transit, static guarding and crowd control. Day and night shifts are available.

- Award rates or above ($34 - $80 per hour, shift dependent)

- Experience a plus but not a necessity—we provide on the job training for the right applicants.

- You MUST have a CURRENT Queensland Security License

- First Aid Certificates with CPR are an advantage; however, we can work with you to gain these.

- Applicants must have a clean criminal record with no convictions that would affect security clearance.

Night Patrol Guards—

- You will drive an NQPS fleet car, check sites and provide alarm call outs for a diverse range of clients as per your scope of works.

- Report incidents and assist in the security of people and assets.

- NQPS Security Night Patrol guards generally work 10-12 hour shifts, working 7 days a fortnight, never more than 3 days at time, with every second weekend off where possible. You must have a full QLD Driver's License for this position.

CIT (Cash in Transit)—

- All CIT applicants MUST have a current CIT license in addition to your current Queensland Security License

- You will drive an NQPS fleet car, between clients and banking/office sites facilitating cash and change pick ups and drop offs. You must have a full QLD Driver's License for this position.

- Shift hours are diverse according to client's needs.





Crowd Control—

- You will supply security services at events, functions and hospitality venues

- Be skilled at deescalation and have great all-round communication skills

- You must have First Aid with CPR for all crowd control work

- You do not need a driver's licence for this role, but are expected to be able to get yourself to each site.

Static Guarding—

- Help protect assets, stores or the community by being attentive and reporting incidents.

- Be skilled at deescalation and have great all-round communication skills

- You do not need a driver's licence for this role, but are expected to be able to get yourself to each site.

- Understand the importance and responsibility of performing security tasks diligently, professionally and compliantly. (After all, people rely on us, and we have to be great at what we do! Just like The Avengers!)

- Enjoy giving back to the community (Just like Spiderman!)

- For positions requiring a vehicle we supply the car, but you will need a full, current driver's license and be a responsible driver.

- Are flexible with which hours and days you can work. (A bit like Batman, we go when they call!)

- We conduct random drug tests so you can only be high on life. (So, it's probably not for the Hulk).

- Car expenses are covered; you are responsible for keeping it clean. (No-one ever gave Wonder Woman fuel money!)

- Be an energetic, enthusiastic, team player.

- Wear a uniform. We supply the shirt; you supply the black pants and shoes. (Unlike on the Incredibles! … But… NO CAPES!)

- Be over 18.
