We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Accounts Officer to provide accounts and clerical support to the Branch Manager at our Townsville branch. This role focuses on efficiency, accuracy and compliance in accounts and reporting, while also supporting the day-to-day administration of a busy branch.

This is a part-time role of 27.5 hours per week, working 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Friday.

What we are looking for

- Experience with accounting software such as MYOB, Xero or iBodyShop

- Competence with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel spreadsheets

- A good understanding of bookkeeping principles

- Close attention to detail and strong organisational skills

- An action-oriented mindset and a willingness to learn, apply new skills and take on new responsibilities

- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Key Responsibilities

- Accounts payable management, including processing supplier invoices, reconciliations and liaising with suppliers

- Reconcile monthly creditor statements and prepare batch payments

- Record and reconcile monthly credit card expenses

- Assisting the Branch Manager to determine billing





- Prepare necessary accounts receivable information, including monthly statements and ad hoc reports, to provide timely information to the appropriate stakeholder.

- Communicate with clients regarding billing and payments as required

- Manage and maintain accurate financial records in a timely manner, including general ledger entries and accounts receivable

- Investigate and escalate discrepancies to ensure accuracy of accounts

- Prepare end-of-month financial figures for the finance team

- Assist the finance team with month-end, year-end and audit requirements

- Ensure up-to-date filing and housekeeping, including maintaining electronic files so information is easily accessible

- Assist with onsite events

- Maintain stationery, uniforms and other office consumables

- Assist the Branch Manager with ad hoc administrative duties as required
