Your Opportunity TAFE Queensland North (TQN) is seeking to establish a pre-qualified Educator Talent Pool to support delivery in the Townsville region of - PMA30120 - Certificate III in Process Plant Operations: and/or - PMA40116 - Certificate IV in Process Plant Technology This initiative will introduce a continuous recruitment or periodic Expression of Interest (EOI) process to identify and maintain a pool of skilled educators who are ready to step into training delivery as needs arise.

Candidates within the talent pool will be pre-assessed against the following requirements:

- Demonstrated vocational competency in Engineering and Automotive (as above) - Current training and assessment qualifications (e.g. TAE40122) - Proven industry currency Successful applicants will have the opportunity to contribute through:




- Casual or temporary teaching engagements - Supporting backfill requirements - Assisting with surge delivery demands to meet fluctuating training needs This approach supports TQN’s workforce planning priorities by proactively addressing regional skill shortages in the Townsville region. It aligns with broader workforce strategies focused on:
- Addressing industry skill gaps - Strengthening regional workforce capability - Improving responsiveness to employer and industry needs By joining the talent pool, you will play a key role in building local capability and supporting the future of the Engineering and Automotive industry in North Queensland. This is your opportunity to share your expertise and mentor Engineering and Automotive professionals in a dynamic and enjoyable training environment. As a key member of the teaching and delivery team, you will contribute to developing and delivering quality learning services to a wide range of clients through:
- Outcome focused vocational education and training (VET) programs; - Linking with industry, schools, universities, other TAFE and VET providers; - Maintaining currency with industry practices, workplace delivery and contemporary teaching methodologies and philosophies; - Working in an environment of change and continuous improvement; and - Making Great Happen!
