Led by two respected Insurance Partners, the team comprises seven lawyers and acts for blue-chip insurers, self-insurers, employers, brokers and government clients across sophisticated statutory classes and Work Injury Damages matters.

The role

You will:

- Manage a portfolio of Work Injury Damages and statutory workers compensation files
- Advise clients on liability, quantum, strategy and claims management
- Conduct client consultations and conferences
- Appear in the Personal Injury Commission, District Court and Supreme Court
- Instruct and work closely with medical, liability and investigation experts
- Build direct relationships with insurer, employer and government clients
- Mentor junior lawyers where appropriate
- Work collaboratively with Partners while taking ownership of matters

About you

You will ideally have:

- 3+ years' PAE




- Experience in Work Injury Damages, statutory workers compensation or broader defendant insurance
- The ability to manage matters with increasing independence
- Strong drafting, analytical and critical-thinking skills
- A strategic and commercially practical approach
- Excellent communication and relationship-building capability
- A collaborative mindset and interest in contributing to a close-knit team
