SecureTalent has been exclusively engaged to appoint an IAM Strategic Lead for a Leading Blue Chip Organisation.
Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer, this is a unique opportunity to define and drive the long-term Identity & Access Management strategy for a complex enterprise where identity is recognised as a critical enabler of cyber security, digital transformation and business resilience.
This is a highly strategic leadership position focused on setting enterprise direction, influencing executive stakeholders and governing Identity & Access Management capabilities across the organisation. Rather than leading day-to-day operations, you'll shape the vision, operating model and roadmap that underpin the organisation's identity strategy for years to come.
The Opportunity
As the senior authority for Identity & Access Management, you will define the enterprise IAM vision and roadmap, ensuring identity strategy aligns with business objectives, regulatory requirements and modern security frameworks.
You'll provide executive oversight across key IAM domains including Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Authentication, Federation and Zero Trust, while governing a managed IAM service and driving continuous improvement through strategic vendor partnerships.
Working closely with executive leadership, you'll communicate cyber risk in commercial terms, influence organisational priorities and help position IAM as a foundation for secure business growth.
About You
You are an experienced cyber security leader with a strong background in enterprise Identity & Access Management and a proven ability to influence at executive level.
You'll bring:
- Deep expertise across Identity Governance, Privileged Access Management (PAM), Authentication, Federation and Zero Trust.
- Experience leading IAM programmes across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
- Robust vendor governance and managed service oversight experience.
- A solid understanding of cyber security governance, risk and compliance frameworks, including NIST CSF or equivalent.
- Exceptional executive communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical risk into meaningful business outcomes.
- A collaborative leadership style with the credibility to engage senior executives, business leaders and technology stakeholders.
Why This Opportunity?
This role offers the chance to influence cyber strategy at the highest level within a complex enterprise undergoing significant transformation.
You'll work directly alongside an experienced executive leadership team, helping shape the future of enterprise identity while driving meaningful security outcomes across a large and complex technology landscape.
If you're looking for a role where strategy, influence and executive leadership are your primary focus, we'd welcome a confidential conversation.
