Serene Country Living is seeking Aged & Disabled Carers for full-time positions, offering an annual salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities, ensuring engagement and inclusion.
- Support mobility and movement, including prescribed exercises.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals based on dietary needs.
- Organize social activities and outings to promote well-being.
- Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and comfortable environment.
- Assist with personal hygiene and dressing with dignity and respect.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to foster trust and connection.
- Run errands and shopping for essential needs.
- Administer medications, if required, and maintain records.
- Monitor and document client health, reporting concerns to healthcare professionals.
- Assist with physical therapy exercises to improve strength and mobility.
- Respond to emergencies and provide first aid as needed.
- Coordinate medical appointments and transportation.
- Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for clients.
Requirements
- A relevant qualification in aged and disabled care
- A minimum of 12 months ofexperience in a similar role
- Experience using assistive technologies (wheelchairs, walkers etc.)
- Certification in caregiving, first aid, and CPR
- A clear criminal background check
- Physical fitness for lifting and transferring clients
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Cultural sensitivity and respect for diverse backgrounds
- Dependability, punctuality, and a passion for making a difference
