Are you a highly motivated and experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurse looking for your next position with flexible rostering options?

Newcastle Private Hospital is seeking an experienced Anaesthetic Registered Nurse to join our Perioperative Team on a permanent basis. You will play a key role within a supportive team in ensuring high levels of patient care are provided.

Responsibilities

- Undertake peri‑operative nursing care in accordance with legislation
- Deliver evidence‑based nursing care
- Liaise with the multi‑disciplinary team
- Ensure patient and staff safety
- Supervise, direct and guide nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and AINs to deliver patient care (RN only)
- Proactively assess the operative nursing care provided to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for the individual / patient
- Document into the patient's medical record objectively, clearly, concisely and timely using accepted abbreviations and terminology





Essential Criteria

- Current Registration with AHPRA
- 12 months’ minimum experience as an RN – Anaesthetic
- Working with Children check (if relevant)
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards
- Sound clinical decision making and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Works well independently and within a team
- Basic computer skills

Additional Requirements

- Current National Police check, WWCC (where applicable)
- Evidence of right to work in Australia
- Proof of immunity to specified infectious diseases as a Category A Healthcare worker (staff in patient contact roles)

Compensation

Salary will be based on your years of relevant registered nursing experience against the current Healthscope and NSWNMA/ANMF – NSW Nurses and Midwives’ Enterprise Agreement 2024, ranging from $39.09 - $54.89 per hour.
