About the role:
We have a great opportunity for an enthusiastic Registered Nurse with Surgical ward experience to join our dynamic and supportive team on a part time basis with a minimum 64 hours per fortnight.
We are looking for Clinical Nurse Specialists as well, so if you are a budding leader please apply.
Duties and responsibilities:
This role will see you working collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary healthcare team to support patient care needs and deliver exceptional clinical outcomes.
- Assist the nursing team to deliver secure, evidence-based patient care
- Ensure the complex and equipment are ready for surgery, patients and the team
- Ensure patient safety and communication with surgical team is always a key focus
- Monitor and evaluate patient recovery, addressing any complications
- Deliver education and support to patients for the management of their recovery
- Supervise and support Enrolled Nurses on shift
About You:
You have a genuine passion for nursing, providing world-class patient care and adding value to Australian healthcare. You will have:
- Solid experience in Surgical ward nursing
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- A true commitment to delivering high quality patient care
- Experience in the below specialties highly desirable
- A desire to work with a a team of dedicated staff cultivating a positive work environment
