The Barking Axe is a woodworking company based in Bayswater North, VIC, specializing in creating unique, custom woodworking designs including but not limited kitchens, wardrobes, shop fittings, feature walls, and outdoor living spaces. We take pride in managing projects from the design phase all the way through to installation.

Role Description

We're currently seeking a Qualified Cabinet Maker. Hours vary, please note this is strictly a sub-contractor role. You must be willing to work both on-site when required and in the factory.

Key responsibilities

- Measure and cut materials to suit plans and drawings
- Fabricate and install cabinetry projects on-site
- Read and interpret architectural plans and blueprints
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Provide exceptional clientele services
- Provide team leadership and assistance

Key Skills and Qualifications:

- Fully Qualified Joiner or Cabinet Maker (Cert III or equivalent)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience high-end/ custom-made joinery. .
- Proficiency in using Power Tools and Hand Tools
- White Card,



driver’s license and forklift license are essential
- Ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Attention to detail and precision in woodworking projects
- Sound knowledge of cabinet making, site installation and quality practices
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting and follow direction
- Have unrestricted working rights in Australia (Sponsorships not available)

Pay will be based on experience.

Pay: $35.00 – $55.00 per hour
