Responsibilities:

The role involves delivering professional remedial and relaxation massage, assessing and treating soft tissue conditions, and applying techniques to support recovery, enhance performance, and relieve stress. It also includes providing clients with rehabilitation advice, stretching guidance, and relaxation techniques to improve overall wellbeing.

Job details:

● Interviewing clients to determine each client's specific health related conditions, health history and lifestyle prior to the administration of any massage therapy

● Design and implement therapy and treatment regimes specific to each client

● Assess and treat specific dysfunction and provide advice

● Performing massage therapies employing therapeutic touch to help restore wellness and relieves aches and soreness, including specialised therapies such as Traditional Chinese Massage and other massage variations such as Swedish, hot stone, prenatal, remedial, deep tissue,



reflexology and sports

● Performing sport massage techniques depending on the specific sport activity of the clients to include one or combination of remedial massage, deep tissue therapy, cross fibre and trigger point technique.

● Providing suitable recommendations for stretching exercises and relaxation techniques that clients can practice at home.

- About the Role

Integrative Wellness Studio is seeking a qualified and passionate Remedial Massage Therapist to join our growing allied health clinic. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships with clients and delivering evidence-based treatment to improve movement, reduce pain and support lasting recovery.

- Conduct comprehensive client consultations, including reviewing medical history, lifestyle factors and functional movement assessments.
- Assess musculoskeletal conditions and develop personalised treatment plans based on each client’s individual needs.
- Deliver high-quality remedial massage treatments using evidence-based manual therapy techniques, including deep tissue massage, myofascial release, trigger point therapy,



sports massage, pregnancy massage, relaxation massage, reflexology and other appropriate techniques within your scope of practice.
- Apply treatment techniques to reduce pain, improve mobility, support rehabilitation, enhance recovery and promote overall wellbeing.
- Monitor client progress and modify treatment plans to achieve the best clinical outcomes.
- Educate clients on posture, ergonomics, stretching, self-management strategies and home exercise programs to support long-term recovery.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, treatment notes and SOAP documentation.
- Work collaboratively with the clinic team while maintaining professional, ethical and infection control standards.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and contribute to a positive, supportive clinic culture.

Essential Requirements

- Diploma of Remedial Massage (or recognised equivalent)
- Current First Aid Certificate
- Professional Association Membership (MMA, ANTA, ATMS or equivalent)
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build solid therapeutic relationships with clients
- Commitment to evidence-based practice and ongoing professional development

Relevant education background preferred

At least 1 year relevant experience
