MORE THAN A GENERAL LABOURING ROLE
Adept Project Solutions is seeking a reliable and capable Skilled Labourer or Trade Assistant to join our shopfitting team.
This role suits someone with construction experience who is confident using tools, enjoys practical work and wants the opportunity to learn more about commercial shopfitting.
You will work alongside experienced shopfitters, carpenters, site supervisors and subcontractors on retail fitouts for recognised national brands.

We have a strong pipeline of secured projects and are looking for someone dependable who wants consistent work and the opportunity to develop within the company.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Your duties will include:
- Assisting shopfitters, carpenters and site supervisors
- Loading, unloading and moving joinery and construction materials
- Assisting with deliveries to sites
- Site establishment and protection works
- Using hand and power tools
- Assisting with basic installation and fitout works
- Removing existing fixtures and completing controlled demolition
- Measuring, cutting and preparing materials
- Keeping sites and work areas safe and organised
- Assisting with defects and project handovers
- Helping in the Bayswater factory or warehouse when required
This is a varied position involving both site and factory-based work. Projects may occasionally involve regional or interstate travel and work outside normal retail trading hours.
ABOUT YOU
- We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous construction, shopfitting, carpentry or labouring experience
- Is confident using common hand and power tools
- Is physically capable of safely handling construction materials
- Has a current White Card
- Has a current driver’s licence and reliable transport
- Understands the importance of punctuality and reliability
- Follows directions and works safely
- Can work both independently and as part of a team
- Takes pride in completing work properly
EWP, Working at Heights, forklift, first-aid or other construction tickets would be advantageous but are not essential.
