Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Tradesperson

Pay Rate: $47.94/hr + penalties
Hours: Monday – Friday, with daily overtime and weekend work available
Initial Tenure: 3 months, with the potential for an ongoing opportunity

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team, servicing and maintaining high-pressure water jetting, vacuum loading and industrial service equipment. This is a hands-on role working across both workshop and site environments.

Key Responsibilities

- Service, maintain and repair high-pressure water jetting equipment, vacuum loading units, pumps, hose reels and associated industrial equipment.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and mechanical fault-finding to ensure equipment is reliable and operational.
- Attend client sites to service, repair and inspect equipment.
- Work collaboratively with other tradespeople across workshop and site environments.
- Liaise with external mechanics and contractors for outsourced repairs and maintenance.




- Operate forklifts where appropriately licensed.
- Load and prepare containers, equipment and materials for shutdowns and site mobilisation.
- Complete general workshop duties, including housekeeping and equipment preparation.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and quality workmanship.

About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:

- Relevant Diesel Fitter / Mechanical Trade qualification.
- Experience servicing and repairing industrial equipment.
- Mechanical fault-finding and preventative maintenance experience.
- Experience with pigging operations is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Forklift licence is advantageous.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality.
- Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
