Join Our Team as a Catering Assistant at Brisbane Airport!

We are seeking a detail-oriented Wash and Catering Assistant to join our dynamic team. Utilise your skills to prepare fresh ingredients and ensure high standards of hygiene and safety in a fast-paced environment with a respected aviation catering company that values efficiency and teamwork.

Flexible availability for a 7-day rotating Roster a Must!

Your Responsibilities:
Chop, slice, and dice ingredients with precision
Ensure food meets presentation and portioning standards
Follow food safety rules and maintain a clean workspace
Collaborate with chefs and kitchen staff to meet production targets
Assist in stock management and waste reduction

Wash Department Duties:
Operate commercial dishwashing equipment in a high-volume environment
Wash, sanitise, and properly store kitchen utensils, trays, and catering equipment
Follow strict hygiene, food safety,



and airline compliance standards
Support turnaround of catering equipment to meet tight flight schedules
Report any equipment faults or hygiene issues promptly
Work efficiently as part of a team to keep operations running smoothly

The Must-Haves:
Previous kitchen, food prep, or cleaning experience preferred
Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
Ability to work in a quick-paced, physically demanding environment
Team-oriented mindset and good communication skills
Physical fitness to handle manual tasks, standing for long periods, and repetitive work
Flexibility to work various shifts including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
