Volunteering at the Red Cross Shop in Orange, in a back‑of‑house capacity. By joining you will be assisting the team with the processing of donations.

Responsibilities
Ongoing role – shifts available 6 days a week
Minimum 4‑hour commitment each week
Prior experience sorting donated goods is desirable but not required
Sorting donations into saleable and non‑saleable product
Hanging products
Tagging products that have been sorted
Steaming garments
Boxing up markdown items and excess
Moving boxes and manual handling up to 10kg

The program

Red Cross Shops sell current and donated clothes, accessories and homewares to raise funds to help people in need. Each year, we rescue 2750 tonnes of clothing from landfill, give opportunities to 5000 volunteers,



and generate funds to help Red Cross support vulnerable people in Australia and around the world. The proceeds from the sale of items support the vital everyday work of Red Cross, providing relief in times of crisis and care where it is needed most.

You must be at least 15 years of age (QLD – 16)
Completing a National Police Check (paid for by Red Cross)
Required to complete an induction into our organisation and retail program
