Role Description

Casual Retail Assistant based in Sydney, NSW.

The Retail Assistant will be responsible for delivering an exceptional, brand-aligned customer experience while driving retail performance and maintaining the visual and operational standards of the store. This role goes beyond transactional service, it is about creating meaningful connections with customers, confidently styling product, and embodying the Mode Mischief brand in every interaction.

Key responsibilities include warmly greeting and assisting customers, providing personalised styling recommendations, managing sales transactions efficiently, and contributing to daily sales targets and KPIs. The role also involves maintaining impeccable store presentation through restocking, steaming, tagging, floor moves, and upholding VM standards to ensure the space feels inspiring and elevated at all times.





The Retail Assistant will work collaboratively with the team to support smooth store operations, including stock management, replenishment, and general maintenance. Flexibility is essential, with availability required across peak trade periods and short-term project or campaign launches.

Qualifications & Experience
2+ years of experience in customer service and retail environments
Robust communication skills with the ability to confidently engage and build rapport with customers
Demonstrated retail sales ability, with an understanding of KPIs and conversion
Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced retail setting and work flexible schedule during short-term periods
Previous experience in fashion retail or customer-focused settings
A genuine passion for fashion, styling, and a strong alignment with the Mode Mischief brand identity
