Role Overview
We are seeking to establish a talent pool of Education and Compliance Officers to join our On‐Demand Transport (ODT) Safety Assurance branch.
Responsibilities
As an Education and Compliance Officer, you will engage with industry stakeholders to undertake general and targeted education and enforcement activities to motivate voluntary compliance with legislative obligations.
As part of a highly effective small team, you will undertake audits of service providers, conduct driver and vehicle checks for compliance, and conduct low‐level investigative enquiries.
You will determine appropriate action for identified non‐compliance, which may include education, cautions, infringements, or prosecutions.
Qualifications

Confident and effective communicator with ability to influence positive behaviour and promote compliance with legislative requirements.
Able to apply legislation in a complex regulatory environment and determine appropriate actions.
Well organised, adaptable and able to manage competing priorities to deliver outcomes within agreed timeframes.




Thrive within a team environment and contribute to results through a collaborative, agile and solutions‐focused approach.
Comfortable undertaking field‐based compliance monitoring, spot checks and audit activities.
