About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Chef/Cook/Apprentice, Barista for Lunch Bar Café at mnj property and food group.
This is afull-time positionbased inBibra Lake, WA ****.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and beverages in a fast-paced café environment whilst maintaining exceptional standards of food safety and presentation.
we are looking for Asian cuisine expert with 5 to 10 years of experience or more who got very good experience in Chinese/Malaysian/Singapore cuisine and know how to do great dishes.
we are also looking for catering chef with 5 to 10 years of experience or more who got very good experience in doing multiple catering food.
For barista, who got more than 5 years of experience in a high end restaurant or cafe.
you must know how to do range of coffees and have great barista skills and knowledge.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary and barista skills within a professional hospitality setting, whether you are an experienced cook looking to expand your expertise or an apprentice eager to launch your career in the food and beverage industry.
Its monday to friday roles only so you start early and finish by 2.30 or early so you have weekend off and night off.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and cook a variety of meals and lunch items according to established recipes and quality standards
Operate espresso machines and prepare speciality coffees, teas and other hot and cold beverages
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, cooking equipment and café service areas
Monitor food stock levels and assist with inventory management and ordering
Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times
Take customer orders and deliver exceptional customer service in a café setting
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Support the development of menu items and contribute ideas for café offerings




Follow all company policies and procedures related to food preparation and safety
What we're looking for
Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant hospitality qualification (for experienced cooks) or willingness to pursue apprenticeship training (for apprentices)
Current or working towards Barista certification or equivalent training
Knowledge of food safety standards and ability to maintain high hygiene standards
Experience in a fast-paced café or restaurant kitchen workplace
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively with colleagues and customers
Attention to detail and commitment to quality in food and beverage preparation
Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings and weekends as required
Passion for food and hospitality with a genuine interest in customer satisfaction
10.
point-of-sale (POS) system experience is advantageous
