With the power of many curious minds, together we can solve the world's most complex challenges and deliver more impact together.Role description:Arcadis is seeking an Associate Technical Director in Transport Planning to join our national Transport Planning team and assist in the ongoing development and growth of the Transport Planning and Traffic Engineering business.This role will be based in our Sydney office, yet you will play a pivotal part in our national Mobility Advisory business.Our transport planning team operates in a supportive leadership environment.
We provide hybrid working policy and adaptable working hours.Role accountabilities:The objectives of the role are to:Draw on your industry connections and profile to increase the Arcadis presence within the NSW Transport Planning communityActively contribute to business strategy for the wider Arcadis business, with a focus on NSWActively pursue new opportunities for the Mobility Advisory business, and convert into won projectsLead and contribute to transport planning projects, including active transport, public transport and multimodal strategies, plans,



studies and options assessmentUndertake verification reviews of transport planning and traffic engineering reporting and analysesEnsure proactive collaboration and effective communication with multidisciplinary teams, clients and stakeholders, on projects and pursuitsMentor and support junior team membersBuild and maintain valuable networks within the industry.Qualification & Experience:You will have:Demonstrated experience in transport planning, including active transport, public transport, multi-modal network planning and/ or precinct development.Demonstrated experience in developing transport strategies, plans, studies and options assessmentsSound knowledge of traffic engineering principles, including road safety, intersection operations, and local area traffic managementAbility to translate strategic transport visions into operational advice and practical design recommendationsExcellent written communicationExcellent verbal communication, relationship building and stakeholder engagement skillsDemonstrated ability to lead self and others, including upskilling emerging professionals within the team,



strong motivating and delegation skillsExperience in project management and working within multidisciplinary teamsDemonstrated technical and commercial acumenExperience with or working knowledge of pedestrian planning and analyses advantageous12+ years relevant experienceRelevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, planning, or a related fieldWe understand that applicants might not have all the relevant qualifications and experience listed above.
