Responsibilities

- Assist clinicians and team members with patient preparation.
- Prepare and maintain operating suite equipment.
- Provide safe patient transport within the operating suite and interdepartmental transfers.
- Demonstrate an inclusive mindset to thrive in a multi-cultural environment.

You are a good communicator with a natural ability to show compassion and empathy to patients. Professional in your work, you have a strong attention to detail and are quick to learn and adapt.

Qualifications

- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Specialising in Operating Theatre Technician) or above.
- Be flexible, with good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
- Have an understanding of medical terminology and be able to fulfil the technical requirements of the role.
- Have best practice in delivering patient-centred care.
- Have well‑developed understanding of relevant safe work practices.

Salary range for Theatre Technicians: A$59,718 – A$73,037 + super + entitlements dependent on year level (pro-rated for part time).
