Consultants enjoy exposure to a broad and rewarding range of surgical specialties across both the public and private sectors, including orthopaedics, general surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, urology, ENT, ophthalmology, paediatrics, endoscopy, vascular surgery and trauma.

The varied caseload provides an excellent foundation for newly fellowed anaesthetists to consolidate their skills while developing areas of special interest.

For those keen to expand their expertise in regional anaesthesia, the role offers regular opportunities to perform ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks and work alongside supportive surgical and anaesthetic colleagues who value contemporary regional techniques.

- A primary medical degree registrable with AHPRA and Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and/or overseas trained specialist pathways.
- Evidence of being a medical expert, demonstrated by recent and comprehensive experience in Anaesthesia
- Evidence of being a scholar, maintains medical professional development and has the ability to assist other staff, including trainees in the acquisition and development of knowledge.
- Evidence of being a skilled communicator, including both oral and written skills, communicating with patients, students, other health professionals and the public.
