3-Month Contract | Potential to Transition to Permanent

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consolidation & Reporting Specialist to join a high-performing finance team at a leading financial services organisation. This is a senior individual contributor role offering broad exposure across the business, with the opportunity to strengthen reporting quality, governance and consolidation outcomes within a centralised Finance Planning & Consolidation function.

This is initially a 3-month contract starting as soon as possible, with strong potential to transition into a permanent position for the right candidate.

The Chance

You will play a key role in maintaining the integrity of the organisation's financial fact base — ensuring one set of definitions and one reconciled, bank-wide view of financial performance. You'll partner closely with divisional finance teams across the business, working within a Finance function that acts as a control tower for reporting production, consolidation integrity and governance.

Key Responsibilities

- Own the execution and quality of organisation-wide financial consolidation processes.
- Ensure financial outputs are reconciled, consistent and aligned across business units.
- Act as a quality gate for key finance datasets used in executive and governance forums.
- Maintain the integrity and reliability of the organisation's financial fact base.
- Deliver recurring management reporting and support finance governance forums.
- Prepare, reconcile and validate datasets used for executive decision-making.
- Identify and investigate unusual movements, trends or reporting anomalies.
- Support development of a coherent, organisation-wide financial narrative.

- Drive finance requirements relating to EPM structures, hierarchies, mappings and controls.
- Partner with finance and technology teams to coordinate system and mapping changes.
- Ensure consolidation requirements are accurately reflected within EPM platforms.
- Reduce manual workarounds and improve overall efficiency of finance processes.

Process Improvement & Controls

- Support the maturity and embedding of a new operating model, strengthening processes, controls and reporting discipline.
- Improve process documentation and operational standards.
- Identify automation opportunities and simplify manual, repetitive activities.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and capability uplift within the broader team.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline.
- CA or CPA qualification.
- Strong experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A;), consolidation and management reporting.
- Experience establishing or improving reporting standards, controls, governance, data quality and process discipline.
- Experience supporting finance transformation, operating model change or process redesign is highly regarded.
- Experience within banking or financial services.
- Exposure to EPM platforms and financial consolidation systems.

Technical Skills

- Advanced Excel capability, including complex data analysis and reconciliations.
- Strong understanding of financial consolidation principles and reporting processes.
- Experience working with financial hierarchies, mappings and finance system controls.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes through automation and simplification.
