Lead people, influence outcomes and improve health across the Murrumbidgee

You won’t just manage programs - you will lead people, influence the system and drive meaningful change for communities across the Murrumbidgee. From leading a high-performing team to strengthening partnerships across communities and providers, you'll play a key role in improving health equity and health outcomes for some of the region’s most vulnerable and diverse communities.

Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network (MPHN) is passionate about improving health outcomes for communities across the beautiful Murrumbidgee region of southern NSW. We work collaboratively with health professionals, service providers, and local communities to deliver innovative, evidence-based solutions that make a real difference. Our focus is on creating healthier communities through better access to care, smarter use of data, and programs that respond to local needs.

About the role

This is a genuine opportunity to step into a senior leadership role with influence, autonomy and strong organisational backing. As a Senior Health Manager, you will provide leadership across a diverse portfolio focused on improving health equity and outcomes for communities across the Murrumbidgee. This includes areas such as mental health, alcohol and other drugs, healthy ageing and palliative care, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health, multicultural health and homelessness.

You’ll be part of a supportive, values-led environment where you are trusted to lead people,



think strategically and make decisions that matter. Working closely with communities, service providers and system partners, you will build strong partnerships, translate strategy into practical action and lead a high-performing team committed to improving health outcomes across the region.

In this role, you will:

- Lead and develop a high-performing team through coaching, support, accountability and capability development

- Lead commissioning and program delivery aligned to local needs, evidence and reform priorities

- Build and sustain partnerships across communities, providers and system stakeholders

- Ensure community voice and lived experience inform planning, design and delivery

- Drive innovative, evidence-informed models of care that improve access and outcomes

- Contribute to organisational strategy, planning and performance

Essential Requirements

You are an experienced people leader who can bring together strategic thinking, strong stakeholder engagement and operational delivery. You build trusted relationships, support teams to perform at their best and deliver meaningful outcomes.

You will bring:

- Tertiary qualifications in health, social sciences, community services or a related discipline, together with demonstrated leadership experience in a health, community services environment or related environment

- Proven experience leading, developing and managing teams to achieve outcomes

- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership building capability

- Experience navigating complex systems and delivering change





- The ability to translate strategy, evidence and policy into practical initiatives and service improvements

- Experience working with diverse communities and stakeholders will be highly regarded, together with a demonstrated commitment to culturally secure, respectful and inclusive practices
