Reporting to our Executive Chef, you will work with our large, vibrant group of experienced culinary professionals at the Qantas Lounges Brisbane. This role will include working at both the domestic and international airport lounges.
This permanent part-time role is an ongoing 4-5 day week position.
Our Lounges at the domestic and international airport terminal operate between 3:00am - 1:00am
As a Commis Chef, you will be an integral part of the kitchen brigade, crafting culinary excellence – Preparing dishes with precision, following recipes and maintaining portion control to create flavors that impress.
What you’ll be doing:
- Food preparation for breakfast, lunch,
dinner buffet service and a la carte dining service.
- Maintaining a clean and hygienic work setting whilst ensuring a product of high quality and presentation standards.
- Ensuring strict stock rotation and minimum wastage. Have stock control procedures implemented and maintained.
- Keeping all working areas clean and tidy. Ensure all equipment is maintained, serviced and cleaned.
- Ensuring all food produced is in line with kitchen recipes and standards.
- Checking all food is stored and handled correctly as per current food health and hygiene regulations.
- Monitor daily kitchen food and product requirements and advise the supervisor of these well in advance.
