Hancock Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hancock Prospecting Pty Ltd (HPPL) established in 2021 with a mandate to seek profitable investment opportunities across the energy value chain. Hancock Energy is developing assets that will play a crucial role in powering Australian businesses by providing reliable and sustainable energy solutions across the nation.

This role supports the Regional Manager and Senior Community Relations Officer to help achieve Hancock Energy’s objective to build a portfolio of energy assets within the Perth Basin. The role will ensure that Hancock Energy develops a positive community profile, builds strong regional relationships and a solid social licence to operate.

This role requires the administration of the regional and project offices, assistance with community liaison activities, purchasing and accounting activities and bridging of knowledge and expectation between project team and the various Hancock Energy teams to ensure timely exploration, feasibility studies and operational activities.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate administrative, community and operational activities working from the Mingenew offices for projects team, exploration team and Hancock Energy employees and contractors in the region
- Collaborate with other field‑based business units to inform and develop engagement strategies to lead to positive outcomes, in a timely manner, with business objectives achieved.
- Proactively identify, report and elevate issues as deemed appropriate to mitigate land access risks.
- Maintain good working knowledge of agricultural systems in the Northern Agricultural Region to provide HE teams relevant information on the complexities of landholder operations and expectations, so HE operations can minimise the impact on local farming operations.




- Maintain a live stakeholder database and report on relevant landholder engagement and negotiation activity.
- Demonstrate adaptability as landholder relationships evolve as the project develops.
- Represent Hancock Energy at public meetings in the Mid‑West such as industry forums, networking events and government consultation meetings. Represent the company at local community events, town halls, and regional business chambers.
- Procure contractors to provide services required in relation to Hancock Energy activities on Hancock sites (ensuring entry into contracts complies with Hancock Energy Executive approval, budgets and Hancock Energy procurement rules).
- Manage purchase orders, account management, accommodation, and travel for regional activities.

To be successful in this role, you will need

- 1–5 years of experience in community relations, administration of small businesses, local agricultural activities and processes, preferably within the agricultural or resources sector.
- Experience in agriculture, energy, mining or infrastructure sectors in the Midwest region.
- Demonstrated understanding of and respect for regional and Indigenous communities in Western Australia.
- Australian Driver's Licence (C Class minimum).
- Ability to plan, develop and implement work plans and budgets.
- Expertise in managing partner relationships, contracts, agreements and the procurement process.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written correspondence and presentations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
- Knowledgeable in ArcGIS and similar programs.
- Flexibility to travel and work outside standard office hours may be required on occasion.
