About the Role

A part‑time fixed term opportunity (until March 2027, covering maternity leave) exists for a Grade 2 or 3 Pharmacy Technician to join the Pharmacy Department at Kilmore District Hospital. The role requires 40 hours a fortnight based at Kilmore District hospital, with potential rotation to other Northern Health sites as required and participation in weekend and public holiday rosters.

The Pharmacy Technician is an integral part of a team of over 100 pharmacists and 40 technicians, providing services across clinical specialties, dispensary, outpatient clinics, education and stewardship programmes.

Qualifications

- Certificate III or IV in Health (Hospital Pharmacy Technician) awarded by a registered training organisation or equivalent qualification (as approved by the Pharmacy Board of Victoria or equivalent body)



or looking to attain this certificate within 18 months of commencing employment.
- Hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
- Ability to produce a service of excellence using quality improvement techniques and familiarity with national standards accreditation requirements.
- Previous exposure to a broad range of pharmacy services in the general hospital field.
- Valuable time‑management and organisational skills.
